Tell us a bit about you, what you do and your company. Which elements do you consider key success factors in your business model?
I have been working in the tourism industry for 8 years. I’m proud to be a Business Development Manager at Prime Travel. Prime Travel was established in Antalya, Turkey in 2016 as a local DMC. Within next years we have been able to expand: our second brand «Bedsopia» was founded in 2019. In 2021 we opened new offices in Dubai and New York. Now our company is a global bedbank with 12.000 direct hotel agreements and more than 50 suppliers feding our booking engine with 750k hotels globally… Our technology provides us the ability of the response time less than 1 second. The Company’s philosophy is very open-minded to create right cooperation, renewing technology and open to adapt of the new trends Not to mention our local DMC services with in-house support team. Long-term cooperation, solution-oriented work, and compliance with developing technology - these are the main three elements of our success.
What are some of the biggest challenges for your sector right now?
As a fact of being in the travel industry, we should always be able to find solutions to difficulties and turn challenges. It is very important to stay strong in the sector and to continue working towards development during periods such as Pandemic and War. In fact, if we look at our numbers and the work we’ve been doing during this time, we can see that we remained strong and improved substantially.
Why would you recommend this event to key influencers in the travel industry?
Although we are competitors in our field, we need to communicate, support the industry by making strong connections and developing the required level of flexibility due to fast technological evolution. It’s important to create new business areas for every company. Thus, we are convinced that in order to do that, the travel industry companies should be involved significantly in cooperation.
What do you think are some of the biggest opportunities for the travel industry in 2022-2023?
In my opinion, the pandemic made the people stay at home for a long time. As a result of the pandemic, the demand curve sloped downward at these years. We have now started to see the outcome at our figures since May 2021. In this regard we can easily say that the figures we see refers to a pent-up demand in the industry that is unleashed which is signs of a recovery emerge.
Looking ahead to the next year, what are your top two or three priorities for ADAPT. PIVOT. GROW?
Our top three priorities would b: making new connections, adapting to technological development.
